Michael Bang

Michael Bang
https://www.michaelbangmusic.com/

Michael is a Bay Area musician who does far too many things. He sings, he plays a bunch of instruments, he writes songs, he composes, and he’s in three to six bands at any given moment.

If you’d like to try and keep up with it all, he plays in an indie rock band called The Riot Professor, a dance grunge band called Tell Me Tell Me, an eponymous indie folk band, and is a composer of classical music.

Music is all he does and he wants you to hear it, at a live performance, on recordings, as sheet music, or just as the vibrating air that it is. He also hosts meetings the Oakland chapter of music meet up group Balanced Breakfast.

Catch Michael's band "Tell Me Tell" at Bottom of the Hill on August 25th.

Shawn Cody

Shawn Byron
https://open.spotify.com/artist/1RTNLG88hj9SGtyvkwkcPf

Shawn Byron is the nom de plume for the singer-songwriter known to friends and family as Sean Cody.

Having spent most of his life in Virginia and Southern California, Byron presently resides in the San Francisco Bay. Working as an attorney and moonlighting as a folk balladeer, Byron has now found a place among friends and fellow artists in the community.

It is hard to miss his biggest influences—the singer-songwriters of yore: Paul Simon, Gordon Lightfoot, and Van Morrison. Dig deeper, and you will no doubt hear the likes of Stevie Wonder and Sam Cooke as well.

Shawn released his first album "Doing Business As Shawn Byron" in 2020 and it features a cover of "Lighthouse at the End of the World" — a song he performed at the very first EGPhest.  He's been a fixture ever since (mostly)/
