The 9th installment of EGPhest is scheduled to occur on August 17th, 2025, once again in the garden at Bazaar Cafe in the Outer Richmond. While the proceedings are always unpredictable, here's who we've got on hand to participate this year's big show. Miles Gordon Miles Gordon Till I Wash You Away Miles Gordon is co-fronter of Country Risque and a singer-songwriter. He’s been in the bay scene since he moved here late 2020. He primarily plays music in the loose country/Americana space these days but has been known to venture into other areas. Miles considers himself t be a product of his upbringing in the latter-day Grateful Dead /jamband scene and subsequent discovery of the emotional power of Gram Parsons (journeying ever backward from there). Gordon is equally influenced by the likes of Paul Kantner, Kurt Vile, Rodney Crowell, the Everly Brothers, and George Clinton. Above all, Miles Gordon strives to make music that captures the inherent absurdity, confusion, and joy of life as he sees it, resetting the mind, soul, and whatever else along the way. https://linktr.ee/milesgordonmusic Mitch Rocket Mitch Rocket Chained to the Sun Mitch Rocket is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from San Francisco, CA by way of Boston and the Ecuadorian Amazon. Drawing from a background in jazz saxophone and a love for Andrew Bird, Steely Dan, Chairlift, and Silversun Pickups, he twists saxophones, synths, and strings together into songs that run the gamut from folk-rock to jazz fusion. After emerging from the slumber of COVID with a full band of collaborators, Mitch Rocket's style has coalesced into something he calls “Yacht Grunge,” which mixes the jazz chords of Steely Dan and Stevie Wonder with the overdriven angst of Smashing Pumpkins and Soundgarden. https://linktr.ee/mitchrocket Little Oil Little Oil The Albatross Song A Mexico City born San Francisco Bay Area songwriter musician that finally fulfilled his creative urge to be the totalitarian dictator of his musical world and go solo with his self titled debut album. A lover of punk, classic rock, indie, & old time country & blues, his music is a voodoo mixture that sounds both familiar but fresh and original. His eponymous debut album was released on October 14, 2021 and released his follow up album "Twelve Song" was released in March of last year. https://linktr.ee/littleoil nyssa nyssa Dreamcatcher Part of a Pacifica based duo called “Liquor Store” that plays a mix of pop, rock, R&B and indie hits and draws influence form artists such as The Talking Heads. A self described professional yapper nyssa has released songs under her own name such as “imposter” and “talkin in my sleep.” She is, according to her Spotify bio, “too cool for feelings” . https://www.instagram.com/nyssa.music/ Alex Jimenez Alex Jimenez Time Space Vortex A product of the early San Francisco indie music scene, Alex Jimenez has spent the majority of his life creating music to share with his fellow musicians and community. An avid guitar player and singer, Alex is currently focusing on his solo work, a blend of acoustic pop meets gritty blues. In 2012 his 2 year, fifteen show odyssey, 'The Usual Suspects Songwriter Showcase', became a critical favorite, showcasing some of the Bay Area’s finest talent. Usual Suspects' follow-up 'Songwriters in the Round' also enjoyed a moderate success. His latest album, "Another Day" was released on vinyl in May 2024, and was produced by Scott Mickelson. These days Alex is enjoying recording and moonlighting as the bass player for Bay Area favorites Thunderegg. https://alexjimenezmusic.com/ Eric Martin Eric Martin Lighthouse at the Edge of the World Eric Martin is an indie folk rocker and singer-songwriter originally from the mountains of North Carolina. He dwells now in Oakland, CA, and sorties into San Francisco to pluck strings and loose crisp tenor laments. https://www.youtube.com/@theericmartin Michael Nuzzo Michael Nuzzo The Fish Song A native of central Massachusetts, moon lover and code poetry enthusiast Michael Nuzzo is also a photographer whose subjects include astrophotography and rural landscapes. In addition to recording his originals, he’s been known to cover the work of Elliot Smith and New Jersey’s Pinegrove. https://soundcloud.com/nichaelmuzzo Rosie Cima Rosie Cima The Duck Song Rosie Cima melds folk, punk, and art rock to support a heartfelt and often poetic lyricism. She creates original folk-inspired indie rock in the vein of Big Thief, Angel Olsen, and Hop Along. https://rosiecima.bandcamp.com/ Mr. Andrew and Maya Klemens Mr. Andrew Mama Make the Red Bird Come Back Mr. Andrew (born June 3rd, 1984) is the former First Prince of San Francisco.
